Healthy Breakfast Smoothie

Having a healthy breakfast smoothie every morning is a wise choice. Adding protein powder and bran to your smoothie is great for your body. You can also add other things that are great for your body such as frozen or fresh fruits, your favorite juice or milk, and immune boosting yogurts. They all make for a healthy smoothie.

Adding 1/2 tsp. of ginger to your smoothie is great for your digestive system or you can add green tea to your smoothie which will give you a lot of health benefits. Avocado is also another great addition to your smoothie as it helps lower your cancer risks.

Ever think of adding watermelon? It's great to add during the summer months as it's an excellent hydrator.

You can also add cocoa if you want to make it a little chocolatey or some peanut butter which is also healthy for your body.

Below is a recipe for a healthy smoothie that my brother drinks. He drinks it every morning because it's high in protein and keeps him going all morning.

Start your day off right with a breakfast protein smoothie and you will have a great day!

Preparation:

You will need a good blender, a one cup plus a 1/2 cup measuring cup, a one tablespoon, a spatula, and your smoothie glass.

Gather Your Ingredients:

Make sure you have everything before you begin.

  • 1 1/2 cups of skim milk
  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • 3 tbsp bran
  • 1 fresh or frozen banana
  • 1 heaping tbsp. of peanut butter (or more if you prefer)

Creating Your Healthy Breakfast Smoothie Masterpiece:

Blend all ingredients together until smooth. You might have to scarp the sides of the blender to make sure everything is blended well. Pour into your favorite smoothie glass and enjoy a great morning!

If you like your smoothies cold, you can always add 3 or 4 ice cubes.

If you are looking for a really good blender, I recommend the Ninja Blender. I use it everyday and it's amazing. I can blend everything at once and it crushes the ice into snow within a few seconds.

Don't forget to try my peanut butter banana smoothie. Not only is it delicious and nutritious, they're also a lot of fun to make.
