Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls
Enjoy this easy recipe for peanut butter chocolate balls.
Kids always have fun dipping the peanut butter balls in chocolate.
Just give them a fork and put the chocolate in a bowl and they
can have an exciting afternoon making these PB balls.
It would be great for them to make these
treats on a day when they can’t play outside.

rainy day, let them try something creative.
You will need a large mixing bowl, a one cup plus a 1/4 cup measuring cup, a tablespoon, a slotted spoon or
fork, a double boiler or a medium bowl and sauce pan, wax paper, cookie sheets, and an air tight container.
Place the wax paper onto the cookie sheet and set aside.
Make sure you have everything before
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/4 cups icing sugar
- 3 1/2 squares Bakers' semisweet chocolate
- 1 tbsp. paraffin wax
Creating Your Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls Masterpiece:
- Cream together butter, shortening, peanut butter, and icing
sugar until well blended and roll into one inch balls using the palm of your hands. If the dough sticks to your hands put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes and then try rolling it in your hands again.
- Chill the balls for about an hour until firm enough to dip in chocolate mixture.
- Melt semisweet chocolate and paraffin wax in a double boiler
or in a bowl over a pan of simmering water until they are completely
- Roll the balls in the melted chocolate, lifting them out with a
slotted spoon or fork and set them on the waxed paper lined cookie sheet.
- Place in fridge until chocolate coating is hard.
Placed in an air tight container, they should last about 2 weeks in the fridge or about a month in the freezer.
