What better way to top off a peanut butter cake then with some peanut butter frosting. So rich and yummy and really tastes like peanut butter!
My mom was famous with friends and family for her peanut butter cakes with peanut butter icing and now I can share it with you.
It's easy to make and you can really taste the peanut butter.
This frosting is perfect for a chocolate banana cake. If you make a layer cake you can put the PB icing between the layers along with some sliced bananas.
Mmmm I can almost taste it now.
Here's my mom's famous PB frosting.
You will need a medium mixing bowl, a one cup plus a 1/3 cup plus a 1/4 cup measuring cup a tablespoon and a teaspoon, and an electric mixer or a wooden spoon
Make sure you have everything before you begin.
And that's all there is to it. It will make enough to fill and frost an 8-9 inch two-layer cake and you will have more then enough to frost a layer cake. If there is some left over you can store it in the fridge for a couple weeks..
I have used this recipe many times and it turned out awesome every time.
My kids love decorating the cakes I make. With lots of sprinkles and candies on top, the kids will want you to make them all the time.
