This is the peanut butter sheet cake that my mom always made. This peanut butter cake recipe is very easy to make and taste great.
After the cake is done I like to take it out of the dish to add icing the sides of the cake. I also like to make my cakes shaped in animals, such as; a rocking horse, a butterfly, a dog, or a penguin. I always let my kids pick out what animal they would like me to make and it was usually either the rocking horse or the butterfly.
It's always better to have more icing and taking it out of the dish will allow you to add icing to the sides.
You can also add decorations to the side of the cake like chocolates, small candies or anything else you can come up with.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
You will need a large mixing bowl, a one cup plus a 1/2 cup measuring cup, a spoon or spatula, and a greased 9x13 inch backing dish.
Make sure you have everything before you begin.
This is one of the easiest ways to make a peanut butter cake and it tastes amazing.
Adding some peanut butter frosting to the cake is the perfect touch. You can always try chocolate peanut butter frosting if someone has a chocolate craving.
For a little added decoration, grate some orange peel and add it to the top of the cake. You could also add chocolate pieces, Reese's pieces, chocolate curls or any other small candy or decorations you want to use.
